JOB DESCRIPTION:

Coordinates, develop, maintain, and provide pharmacy services to patients throughout the integrated delivery network organization. If elected will serve as Team Leader for a one year period for a team made up of pharmacists and technicians. " Prepares and dispenses medication orders according to established policies, procedures, and protocols. " Supervises and directs activities of interns, technicians, and support personnel as required. " Ensures safe, appropriate, cost effective medication therapies for patients. " Provides medication related clinical consultation and clarification to other health professionals. " Develops and participates in activities designed to measure and improve the medication use process. " Provides education and training to Pharmacy Department personnel as well as other health professionals. " Maintains competence required for current job title/position and as related to the patient population served. " Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and requirements " Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with a five-year Bachelor of Science Degree required. " Licensure by the state of Colorado to practice pharmacy required. Possesses the manual dexterity necessary for IV admixture preparation. " Maintains BCLS certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 1-year experience in a hospital Pharmacy as a Pharmacist or Intern preferred.

We are currently seeking an oncology-trained pharmacist to join our team and support our expanding oncology service line. Our pharmacists are integrated with the care team in their area of specialty. All pharmacists also support pharmacy operations and dispensing activities in the main pharmacy. All pharmacist provide pharmaceutical care services to patients throughout Exempla Lutheran Medical Center.
