Epic Application Analyst for Ambulatory Electronic Medical Record Team

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Helps the end-user departments in the conceptualizing, design, and implementation of new applications, systems, major enhancements, and required maintenance.Directs the efforts of the associate analysts in the design, coding, testing, implementing, and documentation required for an application.Participates in the design, coding, testing, and documentation of new or existing applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Epic Ambulatory experience is preferred. Demonstrated skills in verbal and written communications and interpersonal interactions. Flexible with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Team-oriented with a positive attitude. Experience using Microsoft tools including Project, Visio and Excel.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior member of an application team responsible for evaluation, design, testing, implementation, upgrades, support and maintenance, security and creates documentation for all assigned applications.?Software technical expert and primary resource for application support to end-users, vendors, and within IST. Occasionally manages small application projects with other IST staff, end-users, vendors, and consultants including duties such as running meetings, gathering requirements and managing budget.. Serve as subject matter expert in design and implementation of new systems. Performs workflow analyses and recommends process changes to enhance departmental productivity.?Responsible for detailed documentation of builds, decisions and changes.?Strong trouble shooting and communication skills used for both implementation and support of applications.?

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor?s Degree computer related major or two year degree and equivalent experience in application implementation and support.

Minimum of 3 years progressive experience as technical application support staff including implementation, support, report writing, trouble shooting, upgrades, and customizing/configuring systems to business needs OR minimum of 3 years progressive experience in IST or related clinical area.

Extensive experience with multiple Healthcare applications, computer languages, databases, operating systems, and hardware platforms

Comprehensive documentation and technical writing skills including support documentation, trouble shooting guides, OLA?s, project documentation, flow diagrams, application specifications, and functional requirements.

Strong team player with good oral and written communication skills including knowledge transfers, conflict management, issue escalation, expectation management, and translation of business needs into technical requirements.

Epic Systems Certification(s)
Epic build experience
Epic implementation experience
Project management experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for evaluation, design, testing, implementation, and upgrades of the clinical applications and Epic, specifically in the area of Nurse/Provider Clinical Documentation, CPOE, and ORDERS.. Software technical expert and primary resource for clinical applications to support end-users, vendors, and all clinicians. Manages clinical application projects and staff within IST Patient Care Systems Development. This role will coordinate with end-users, vendors, and consultants which will include duties such as running meetings, gathering requirements and managing budgets. Will serve as project manager on assigned projects, or with project managers on assigned projects. Performs workflow analyses and recommends process changes to enhance departmental productivity. Strong trouble shooting and communication skills used for implementation of the clinical applications. Assist in the development of tactics and approaches to support the mission and strategies of Exempla Healthcare. This role will facilitate cross-functional teams for the management of a project environment with an emphasis on quality, productivity, and consistency. Responsibilities will include planning, estimating, scheduling, tracking, controlling, hiring, performance evaluations, goal setting and measuring. The Manager will act as a change agent.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics or related field preferred

Equivalent education and work experience may be substituted in lieu of education

Minimum of four years experience in Management role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EPIC Clinical Implementation and Development experience is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director for Business Technology, Integration and Clinical Ancillary Applications is responsible for providing the development and support of these areas and the applications utilized by Exempla. The Director is also responsible for developing new technologies to support physicians and other caregivers in their practice patterns within and external to Exempla. The Managers and Staff reporting to the Director of Business Technology, Integration and Clinical Ancillary Applications have both developmental and production support responsibilities. The Director will partner with the other IST Directors and Managers in supporting of the overall goal of implementing a fully integrated electronic health record.

The Director has demonstrated comprehensive level of knowledge in the following areas:

Project Management principals and practices

Familiarity with emerging technologies

IST strategic planning and design

JCAHO Regulations

HIPAA Regulations

Employee Relations and Recruitment activities

Effective Communication Skills (written, verbal, listening, etc.)

Ability to schedule and prioritize individual work schedules

Sound judgment/Critical thinking

Conflict Resolutions Skills

Facilitation Skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, computer science, or healthcare administration. Coursework to include information systems, management, accounting/finance and quantitative skills.
Relevant formal IST education and experience may be substituted.

10 years progressive IST experience in a professional capacity with three years of project/program management in a healthcare system that included a broad scope of management, systems analysis and extensive interaction at all levels of management and staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional Certification in IST or Project Management (e.g., CPHIMS, PMI, etc.)

Proficient computer skills in MS EXP and Office Suite, Outlook, internet, etc. programs.

Reading skills necessary to understand and interpret technical materials including IST reports and practices, computer software/hardware specifications, company materials describing products and services, etc.

Systems design and implementation

Networking principles

Knowledge of e-gate integration engines

Knowledge of portals and web management
