JOB DESCRIPTION:

Plans, develops, and conducts exercise and educational programs and provides clinical and therapeutic counseling for patients and families in the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs utilizing the skills of physical activity and psychological assessment, evaluation and judgment. Assumes primary responsibility for readiness to do physical activity and exercise prescription for patients in the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs. " Maintains clean unit, work space, and patient's environment per regulatory and hospital requirements. " Demonstrates safe care within the clerical and patient care functions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

" Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology " One year experience in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation " BCLS " ACLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

" Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology " ACSM Exercise Specialist Certification and/or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides independent and advanced professional nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation

Functions independently to perform physical assessments of cardiac patients discriminating between normal and abnormal findings using sound judgment and critical problem solving skills

Initiates appropriate actions to preserve patient life, foster recovery, and enhance wellness.

Provides efficient and compassionate care for both the patient and their family utilizing the multi-disciplinary approach through communication, continuity, coordination, and evaluation

Collaborates with other healthcare team members, leadership, and medical staff to provide safe patient care

Responsible for compliance of regulatory standards and EGSMC report card items

Promotes mission, vision, and values of EGSMC and Exempla Healthcare

Actively fulfills Best in the Nation goals.

Incorporates division protocols for specific patient populations in planning practice and documentation per EGSMC report card

Aids with the organization and performance of Cardiac stress test

Obtains pertinent medical history, perform appropriate physical examination, obtain and review relevant laboratory or radiological studies, identify and assess significant co-morbidities, and develop appropriate treatment plans. Communicates pertinent findings and information to procedural physician and team; also, provide relevant education and counseling to prepare patients for procedures and discharge home.

Completes procedures as trained and credentialed

Assists collaborating physicians with management of patients in the hospital consistent with EGSMC policies, regulations, and approved Scope of Practice.

Completes patient assessment to include, physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, educational and other risk assessments of the individual patient

Demonstrates organizational, problem solving and prioritization skills

Provides and coordinates safe patient care and promotes a safe environment of care

Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to diagnose and implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures and treatments, as necessary for the care of the patient.

Delegates as appropriate

Provides staff, patient and family education

Documents in accordance with regulatory and hospital guidelines

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.

Completion of a postgraduate Nurse Practitioner Program accredited by the NLN or

ANCC -CCNE.

Two years nursing experience with minimum of one year in the Intensive Care Unit.

Two years Nurse Practitioner experience with cardiac stress testing

Required: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

2 years recent CV PA experience with cardiac stress testing, current PA certification

Current State of Colorado Registered Nurse License (required)

Certified in State of Colorado as Nurse Practitioner

Current State of Colorado Physician Assistant Licensure (required)

Current State of Colorado prescriptive privileges and DEA licensure (required)

Appropriate Medical Staff credentials and privileges current

Basic Life Support certification (required)

Advanced Life Support certification (required)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

CV Tech (RT, CVT or RCIS) needed to work with dynamic Cardiovascular team. Two years experience in cardiovascular, interventional radiology and or electrophysiology preferred. The CV Tech assists physicians in performing and completing invasive, interventional and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures in labs using a variety of specialized equipment, monitors, devices and supplies. She/He is knowledgeable in cardiac and vascular procedural practice as well as emergency techniques/protocol. Assists with pre, intra, and post procedure monitoring per hospital protocol and be accountable for the delivery of safe, quality care. Provides collegial and collaborative care. RT or CVT or RCIS required. ACLS required within six months of hire. Schedule may vary to meet departmental needs. Requires basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, invasive cardiovascular practices/techniques/pressures, basic EKG analysis and emergency protocols. Requires an ability to deal tactfully and compassionately with patients, families, and significant others under potentially stressful conditions.

Responsible for effective, constructive communication with staff/physicians/management and other nursing units. Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, and work with a variety of health unit teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Registered Radiologic Technologist, RCIS, Current BLS certification; ACLS certification required with in 6 months

The CV/Neuro Lab at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center seeks highly skilled CV Lab RN to add to their dynamic team. Will be part of an elite team of highly specialized RNs and technologists. Will assist cardiovascular and neurosurgical physicians in performing and completing invasive, interventional and therapeutic cardiovascular and neurovascular procedures using a variety of complicated/advanced equipment, monitors, devices, and supplies.

Successful candidates will have basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology,

invasive cardiovascular practices/techniques, basic EKG analysis, and emergency

protocols. Previous experience in special procedures as a Cath Lab RN with cardiovascular and/or interventional radiological procedures required. Will provide professional nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Meet the needs of the patient, family and interdisciplinary team through communication, coordination, evaluation, and service excellence.
This is a PRN position and requres ON Call availability

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous CV Lab Experience. 2-3 years critical care nursing experience. Current Colorado RN License BLS, ACLS
